Demystifying Same-sex Orientation

Some organizations represent the causes of same-sex attractions as a pre-determined, biological condition that can not be changed. Others say that people choose to be homosexuals. This seminar examines these claims and how both of them fall short of the complex nature of same-sex attractions. There is still much to learn about the nature of same-sex attractions.

What Does the Bible Say?

God has said a lot about gender and sexuality in the Bible. These Biblical principles provide a framework for understanding the relationships between sexuality, faith, temptation, our fallen nature, redemption and transformation. This seminar will discuss the good news that God has for people impacted by homosexuality and how God wants the church to respond.

Is Change Really Possible

God�s redeeming work includes transformation and empowerment; deep and lasting change. Christ came that we may have life and have it abundantly - not to live in the bondage of unwanted desires. But there are many misunderstandings and misconceptions about the meaning of change when dealing with sexual orientation. This seminar discusses what kinds of change are possible when people submit their sexuality to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

Someone I Love is Gay

Finding out that a child, spouse, relative or friend is homosexual can be a big surprise. You may experience a complex combination of emotions and you may have a number of questions ranging from "Why?" to "What's next?" We help you find the Biblical combination of God's truth and grace in responding to or helping those who have embraced homosexuality.

Responding with Grace and Truth

Have you ever wondered what to say to someone who comes to you for help with confusion about homosexual feelings? Exodus� experiences as people who have struggled with homosexuality and people who have been involved in helping others help equip a church, a pastor, mentor or caregiver to come alongside those affected by homosexuality with grace and truth are used to help you learn how to respond as Jesus did with God's grace and truth.

Homosexuality & Students

Students face an enormous amount of confusion and ambiguity surrounding their sexual identity that can include dealing with such issues as homosexuality, bisexuality and transgenderism. Exodus encourages and equips Christian students to live a life consistent with biblical truth, successfully dealing with the pressures of society and the struggles they have within. We want students to know that they don't have to pursue a gay life and that there are many men and women who have chosen not to follow their same-sex attractions, but to live in accordance with something that supersedes emotion and passion - a life-giving relationship with Jesus Christ. We also discuss what parents, teachers, churches and student leaders can do to help students who are struggling with the roots of homosexuality.
