Local Ministries Local ministries partner with Exodus Global Alliance in many countries around the world. These local ministries offer various kinds of services depending on the calling and training of the people in the local ministry. These may include Christian fellowship, Christian discipleship, counselling, and support groups. Others provide some on-line services such as counselling by email or discussion forums for people who are too far away from a local ministry to receive help in-person. Support Groups - Support groups offer a chance to meet people who understand, to receive encouragement from each other. Counselling - Counselling may be helpful to the men and women who are in conflict with their same-sex attractions. Some local ministries offer counselling. Generally, a Christian counsellor participates with God in helping people put their lives right, help deal with pain and trauma, help grow into maturity in Christ. Counsellors help people identify the missing things in their lives that brought damage to them by their absence. Counsellors help with the traumatising effects of these missing things. Churches Churches partner with Exodus to provide a community of faith, Christian encouragement and discipleship to people who are impacted by homosexuality. For men and women overcoming homosexuality, a pivotal part of healing and restoration is the need to be included in, and be a part of, the body of Christ. For many the experience of being welcomed, invited and embraced by the men, women, and families in a church they can call their own makes all the difference in the world in overcoming sexual brokenness. Resources Part of Exodus' ministry is to provide resources to people looking for help and to ministries seeking to help people. Internet, Skype & Telephone Help Sometimes there is no member ministry or church near by. Several kinds of help are available over the Internet, Skype and telephone. Online forums are available for men, women and parents, providing confidential, moderated forums for sharing prayer requests, Christian encouragement and questions.
